General Terms & Conditions – SaaSki
1. Scope
These General Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) apply to all participants of the SaaSki seminar and trip in Ischgl, Austria, organized by Kawan BV (“Organizer”). By registering and/or paying the advance, participants agree to these T&C.
2. Role of the Organizer
The Organizer arranges the accommodation, seminar sessions, ski passes, and group dinners as specified in the program.
All other activities (including but not limited to ski/snowboard lessons, rental of equipment, transportation, and personal excursions) are optional and undertaken by the participant at their own risk and responsibility.
3. Liability
- The Organizer cannot be held liable for any accident, injury, illness, or death occurring during or as a result of participation in SaaSki.
- The Organizer cannot be held liable for theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings, equipment, or rented material.
- The Organizer cannot be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or change of schedule caused by third parties (airlines, hotels, transport providers, ski schools, ski lifts, etc.) or by circumstances of force majeure (weather, strikes, natural events, etc.).
- The Organizer is only liable in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional fault on their part.
4. Insurance
Participants are required to ensure they have adequate personal travel insurance, health insurance, and sports accident insurance (covering skiing, snowboarding, and related activities). The Organizer does not provide any insurance.
5. Cancellations
- Upon registration, a non-refundable advance payment of €500 is required.
- If a participant cancels more than 20 days before the start of the event, only the advance (€500) will be charged.
- If a participant cancels within 20 days of the start, 75% of the total participation fee is due.
- If a participant cancels within 7 days before the start, 100% of the total participation fee is due.
- No refunds are given for no-shows, late arrivals, or early departures.
- Cancellations must be communicated in writing (email or Whatsapp is sufficient) to the Organizer.
6. Changes and Force Majeure
The Organizer reserves the right to make reasonable program adjustments if necessary (e.g. speaker schedule, dinner locations,…).
If the event must be cancelled due to force majeure, the Organizer will refund the amounts paid, deducting unrecoverable costs. No further compensation will be owed.
7. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute arising from participation in SaaSki shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Leuven.
